Happy Birthday Argos
Leading retailer Argos this week celebrated its 35th birthday with the launch of its new catalogue, the 70th edition. Originally 250 pages and containing 4,700 items on its inception in 1973, the new catalogue, available from Saturday 26 July, now has 18,800 products on 1,800 pages and typically can be found in 17 million or two-thirds of UK homes.
Argos managing director, Sara Weller says: “Argos has gone from strength to strength over the last 35 years and, through constant innovation, keeps on delivering choice, value and convenience for British shoppers. The catalogue has been recognised as a cultural icon and we’re delighted to be celebrating our 35th anniversary this week by introducing our biggest and best book yet.”
