Are you loyal to a brand or do you flit and flirt?
Marketing Week’s survey of 200,000 people reveals, that the great British public are as fickle as ever when it comes to brands, and that they’re making no special favours when it comes to the Internet.
Energy on your mind?
Interestingly three of the big winners in the survey were three energy companies, Scottish Power, Powergen and EDF, with the three utilities the highest climbers out of all UK brands assessed in Marketing Week’s Brand Performers 2008 survey.
Online = out of mind?
Also of note were the number of Internet companies in the list of big fallers. This may be due to the lack of brand loyalty on the web but it also reflects the quickly changing nature of the online environment. A quick browse of the companies dropping off the chart reveals some that 2008 has not been too kind to, such as Friends Reunited and Wannadoo.
So what about you, the humble MutualPoints member? Are you loyal to a brand or do you flit and flirt? Which brands have taken your attention in 2008 and which have lost your love this year?
